New research says a cup or 3 could help extend your life

How do you like your coffee? 

A new study found having a cup or 2 each day could help you live longer, but keep it to those morning hours and you’re going to want to not load it down with all sorts of sugar too!

Scientists observed people in three groups over 10 years: Those who only drank coffee in the morning, people who enjoyed it all day and those who skipped it altogether.

The results showed morning coffee drinkers had a 16% lower risk of dying for any reason and a 31% lower risk of dying from heart disease compared to the non-coffee group.

But, it was “moderate” coffee drinkers seeing the most benefits, that is those who had two to three cups each morning. Benefits dropped by half for people who drank more than that.

While they’re not sure why drinking it later in the day makes a difference, their best guess is too much caffeine, too close to bedtime messes with our sleep!

...and maybe that’s why you need to drink so much of it to get ya going in the morning, eh? 😂
