A small town in Finland known as the “official hometown of Santa Claus” is seeing way more travelers than residents can handle!
Rovaniemi, the home to the Santa Claus Village theme park, has started attracting a million visitors a year, much to the dismay of the just 65-thousand locals.
The problem is that tourism has exploded quickly and all those extra people are taking up vacation rentals residents say are desperately needed as housing.
So while they don’t necessarily wanna be a SCROOGE, I can’t blame them for saying “bah humbug” to all the festivities!
