You may have seen Coors Light getting made fun of this week for an ad with an obvious misspelling.
Print ads, a big billboard in Times Square and more, all promising “Mountain Cold Refreshment,” unfortunately spelled “reFERSHment.” Whoops! (Here’s a photo.)
They chalked it up to having a “Case of the Mondays” (shoutout Office Space), but took it a step further...
Could it have all been a clever marketing ploy all along? Seems it, as the beer giant just announced they’ll be changing their name to “Mondays Light”, so beer drinkers can head out and quite literally and BUY a “case of the Mondays” (or a 12 pack).
Honestly, it couldn’t come at a better time, considering the BIG hangover so many will have the day after the BIG GAME. Hair of the dog?? (Another photo.)
