COX MEDIA GROUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Purpose: Join CMG Miami internship program for an in-depth look into the world of entertainment, radio, event planning, sales and promotion of where you experience hands-on involvement and add valuable skills to in your future career in business communications.

§ The ins and outs of the promotions department.

§ Working with programming and on-air talent.

§ Help Plan and execute live remotes, events and broadcasts.

§ Representing all 4 radio stations in the field.

§ Work with sales on projects and building client recaps

§ Understand social media logistics on all our station platforms

§ Understand the purposes of Marketing materials and promotional products

Application Procedure: To be eligible for the internship, the student must be a sophomore, junior or senior in good standing at an accredited 4-year college or university or a credited community college. Grade Point average, community service and leadership experience are also an important part of the total assessment of student applicants. Candidates should be seeking degrees in Broadcasting, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, and/or other media-related disciplines. Duration of Program: Will be a 2-semester internship program (1 st semester is August-Dec and 2nd semester is Jan-May.) Will start asking for applicants May/June/July and start the Program the August 26 th, 2019.

Pay and Hours:
Interns will be paid 8/hr. and is expected to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during the internship period. Intern's hours must be flexible enough to allow work on weekends during station events and appearances.
